Kendal Stewart, M.D.

Founder and Medical Director

Dr. Kendal Stewart is a Medical Director specializing in Nutrigenomics for Fagron Genomics US. He also serves as the Medical Director and Chief Science Officer for Neurobiologix. Dr. Stewart has an extensive medical background, including a BA in Biology with Honors and a minor in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, a Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas Medical School, and specialized training in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. His residency included multiple awards, and he completed a Fellowship in Otology and Neurotology – Skull Base Surgery at Baylor University Center in Dallas. Dr. Stewart is a recognized speaker and has contributed to academic pursuits. He's a leading expert in Neuro-sensory Disorders, Methylation, and Genetic Polymorphisms. His work has been instrumental in advancing the field of precision medicine through Fagron Genomics US, which offers personalized solutions based on genetic testing.

Gustavo Torres, Ph.D.

Scientist

Gustavo Torres, Project Manager at Fagron Genomics, specializes in molecular and human genetics, contributing to genetic test development and technical support. He earned his pharmacy degree from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora and conducted research on human adult stem cells in collaboration with USP and Butantan Institute. Dr. Torres was involved in establishing the first two institutional stem cell biorepositories and published research on adult stem cells as study models for genetic diseases, including neurofibromatosis type I. He also received an international research grant from the American Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) to study computational quantum chemistry at Colorado College during his pharmacy studies. In his graduate program in Genetics and Biotechnology, he researched lentivirus and CRISPR-Cas9 systems for genetically modified animals and served as an Assistant Professor at Paulista University, teaching Human Genetics and Clinical Biochemistry.

Priscila Arbex, Ph.D.

Director of Clinical Affairs

Priscila Arbex, Director of Clinical Affairs at Fagron Genomics US, holds a degree in Nutrition and a Master's in Nutrition Science, with specialization in Sports Training Science and extensive expertise in the Modulation of Intestinal Microbiome. She earned her Ph.D. in the field of ketogenic diets, adipocytes, and epigenetics from the Zurich Federal Institute of Technology in Switzerland. With over a decade of experience as a clinical nutritionist and professor, Dr. Arbex emphasizes the importance of personalized nutrition and supplementation in managing conditions such as obesity, metabolic syndrome, mood disorders, and gastrointestinal diseases. Her academic and clinical background contributes significantly to Fagron Genomics US' mission of providing personalized nutrigenomic solutions.

Gorana Kuka Epstein, M.D.

Director of Research of the Foundation for Hair Restoration & Co-Director of the Women’s Center for Hair Loss

Dr. Gorana Kuka Epstein is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon hailing from Belgrade, Serbia, with a pioneering role in the FUE hair restoration technique since 2007. Her interests extend to regenerative treatments for hair loss, including adipose tissue therapy, regenerative cells, and PRP. She's also an expert in diagnosing and treating women experiencing hair loss. Dr. Kuka Epstein holds a Diplomate status from the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and is finalizing her Ph.D. thesis on regenerative medicine for hair loss at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. After relocating to the USA in 2014, she continued her work in hair restoration while conducting studies on adipose tissue's regenerative potential for various forms of alopecia. She incorporates functional medicine in her patient treatments and has earned recognition as a hair loss expert. In 2022, she was appointed as a Key Opinion Leader for GX Science and advises GX Sciences and Fagron on improving genetic testing quality for hair loss. Dr. Kuka Epstein is a prolific author, with publications spanning various journals and books in regenerative medicine, dermatology, and plastic surgery.

Dr. Alan J. Bauman, MD, ABHRS, IAHRS, FISHRS / Key Opinion Leader

Dr. Alan Bauman serves as the Medical Director specializing in hair loss / alopecia testing for GX Sciences. He is a full-time hair transplant surgeon who founded his medical practice, Bauman Medical, in Boca Raton, FL in 1997 and has treated nearly 30,000 patients and performed over 10,000 hair transplant procedures to date. His compassionate, patient-centered philosophy and individualized artistic approach to protecting, enhancing, and restoring the appearance and health of the hair and scalp is what sets him apart from non-specialists and other practitioners. Dr. Bauman moved to Boca Raton with his wife Karen after he received his M.D. degree from New York Medical College, surgical residency training at Mt.
